Coconut Water Kefir Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 Ceylon cinnamon stick
  • 5 tbsp. of water kefir grains
  • 7 cups of fresh coconut water

Directions:

Pour the coconut water into a 1/2 gallon jar.

Then, add the cinnamon stick and water kefir grains in it. Next, cover it loosely and allow it to sit for 2 days. Make sure it does not ferment too long because it may explode.

After 48 hours, your coconut water should become lighter in color and cloudy. In addition, the kefir grains should rise up to the top of the jar. Then, you should remove the kefir grains. You can use them for a new batch. Or you may want to keep them in some water in your refrigerator.
